Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

2. The Service

TranscriptGo uses automated speech-to-text technology to convert audio and video into text, timestamps, and subtitle files, and lets you export the results. Transcription is produced by AI and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. You may sign in with email and password or with Google. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• transcribe content you do not own or have permission to use;
• upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• circumvent usage limits or resell the Service without our written permission.

5. Your content

You retain all ownership of the media you upload and the transcripts we generate for you. You grant us a limited licence to process and store your content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for having the rights and any consents needed to transcribe your content.

6. Plans, billing, and Merchant of Record

We offer a free tier with monthly usage limits and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment processing, billing, applicable taxes, and customer service inquiries relating to payments, and processes refunds. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms.

Prices may change; we will give notice of changes before they apply to your next renewal. Taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout where applicable.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Billing page. Cancellation takes effect immediately: access to paid features ends right away and your account moves to the free plan. Remaining time in the current billing period is not prorated or automatically refunded. Refunds, including our 7-day money-back guarantee, are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Free tier and fair use

Free plan limits are set by us and may change over time. We may throttle, limit, or suspend accounts that abuse the Service or attempt to bypass usage limits.

9. Intellectual property

The TranscriptGo name, logo, website, and software are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our branding. Your content remains yours.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Paddle for payments, our transcription provider for processing audio, and Google for optional sign-in. Your use of those features may also be subject to the relevant provider’s terms.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that transcripts will be accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TranscriptGo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content or your misuse of the Service.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of Bangladesh.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
