These are promises, not marketing. The full policy below says the same things in more words.

  • Never used to train AIYour recordings and transcripts are never used to train any model — ours or anyone else’s. They are also never sold, shared or licensed.
  • Only ever visible to youUploads travel over an encrypted connection and are stored encrypted. Playback links are private and expire. No other customer can reach your files.

After that the audio is deleted automatically; your transcript, summary and translations stay exactly as they were.
  • Delete anything, any timeOne button on any file removes the transcript, summary, translation and audio together — permanently, everywhere, straight away.

This Privacy Policy explains how TranscriptGo (“TranscriptGo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a service operated by an individual based in Bangladesh, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and transcription service at transcriptgo.app (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. Your name and email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
  • Media you upload. The audio and video files you submit for transcription.
  • Transcripts. The text, timestamps, and subtitle files we generate from your media.
  • Usage data. The number of minutes and files you process so we can enforce plan limits, plus basic file metadata such as duration and detected language.
  • Payment information. Subscription payments are handled by our payment provider, Paddle. We do not receive or store your full card details. We receive limited information such as your plan, subscription status, and a customer/subscription identifier.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, and cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • generate transcripts, subtitles, and exports from your media;
  • create and manage your account and enforce free and paid plan limits;
  • process subscriptions and payments through Paddle;
  • respond to support requests and send important service notices;
  • protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and comply with the law.

3. How your media and transcripts are handled

Your media is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our transcription provider for processing, and is stored encrypted at rest. Your audio is kept alongside your transcript so you can play it back later. How long depends on your plan — free accounts: 7 days; starter accounts: kept until you delete it; pro accounts: kept until you delete it; max accounts: kept until you delete it. After that the audio is deleted automatically; your transcript, summary and translations stay exactly as they were.

We do not use your media or transcripts to train AI models, we do not sell them, and no other customer can ever see them. Playback links are private, expiring links generated only for you.

Your transcripts are stored in your account so you can search, play back and download them later. You can delete any file — transcript, summary, translation and audio together — from the file itself at any time, and that deletion is immediate and permanent.

4. Service providers we share data with

We share only what is necessary with trusted providers who help us run the Service:

  • Paddle — processes payments as our Merchant of Record.
  • Our transcription provider — processes your audio/video to produce text using AI speech-to-text models.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure provider — stores your account data and runs the Service.

We never sell your personal data to anyone.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies that are required to keep you signed in, remember basic preferences, and protect the Service (for example, against cross-site request forgery). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Your audio is kept alongside your transcript so you can play it back later. How long depends on your plan — free accounts: 7 days; starter accounts: kept until you delete it; pro accounts: kept until you delete it; max accounts: kept until you delete it. After that the audio is deleted automatically; your transcript, summary and translations stay exactly as they were. Transcripts are kept until you delete them or close your account. We may retain limited billing and transaction records for as long as required by applicable law.

7. Your rights

You may request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at hello@transcriptgo.app. We will respond within 30 days. You can delete your transcripts at any time from your dashboard.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.

9. International data transfers

Some of our providers may process data on servers located outside Bangladesh, including in the United States and the European Union. Where this happens, we rely on reputable providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect your information.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
